About Text and Author

Recitation and memorization of shlokas has been an ancient and time-tested technique to boost memory power. It acts as a powerful and positive stimulant for today’s feverish younger generation. Scientific research proves that recitation of meter bound shlokas augments memory power, concentration and retention capacities of the learner.

Laghu Stotramala is a collection of stotras composed by Sri Sri Krishnapremi Swamigal, Paranur. It comprises 4 parts – Part 1 contains simple, delectable verses mostly in the anushtubh metrical pattern. Profound in meaning, these are easy-to-learn verses and offer sheer joy to young learners and beginners alike.

What is the Syllabus?

In this course, 10 stotras (Nearly 150 shlokas) from the Laghu Stotramala Part 1 is taught.

सात्त्विकस्मरणम् (sattvikasmaranam) – 8 shlokas
नदीस्तोत्रम् (nadistotram) – 6 shlokas
अष्टश्लोकी (ashtashloki) – 9 shlokas
श्रीगुरोरष्टकम् (shrigurorashtakam) – 9 shlokas
रुद्राष्टकम् (rudrashtakam) – 9 shlokas
अक्षरमालिका (aksharamalika) – 55 shlokas (Shlokas starting from each letter of the Sanskrit alphabet. Aksharamala is an initiative to introduce to the young learner the devanagari–aksharas through the recitation of shlokas.
नृसिंहपञ्चामृतम् (nrisimhapanchamritam) – 6 shlokas
लक्ष्मीस्तोत्रम् (lakshmistotram) – 25 shlokas
गरुडपञ्चकम् (garudapanchakam) – 6 shlokas
दशावतारमङ्गलम् (dashavataramangalam) – 11 shlokas

Will I get a Certificate?

Yes. An oral examination will be conducted at the end of the course, and a certificate will be issued to all successful participants.
